Australian rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard brought the heat to Houston’s White Oak Music Hall this past Saturday. Their show was tirelessly energetic — with amp-melting riffs, cutting-edge vocals, and rhythms that leave your body sore from keeping up with, the gig had the audience feeling transcendent throughout the night. With a performance like theirs, the band made it impossible for the crowd to falter in their excitement for even a moment, and, as the music echoed through the streets around White Oak, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s hypnotic sound reached the bystanders on the blood, electrifying the night beyond the reach of the venue lawn.
