The Record Company

The Record Company's performance at Antone's in Austin on January 17th was a sonic revelation, leaving a lasting mark on the iconic blues venue. Frontman Chris Vos, typically armed with a harmonica and an infectious stage presence, he invited the audience to engage with their lyrics on a personal level, encouraging those in the audience to feel the music however it comes to them. There was a unique freedom in the way the music itself gave way for the crowd to create their own atmosphere that was both intimate and electric. What set their performance apart was the tangible dynamism between the trio. The band's sonic prowess was so potent that one could feel it without direct visual confirmation. Rock fans were lingering from the front stage all the way to the back of the venue and from wall to wall, Record Company fans were feeling each note, body and soul. Chris Vos's mastery of the harmonica and varied guitar repertoire infused authenticity into their blues-driven music, all the while harmonizing with the rhythm section led by Mark Cazorla on drums and Alex Stiff on bass. In the heart of Texas at Antone's NightClub, with high anticipations for the set, The Record Company not only met but exceeded every expectation, delivering an outstanding show that transcended the ordinary.
